Privacy
FamEase is a family-organising app built in Belgium. This page explains, plainly, what data we process, why, where it lives, and what we promise never to do.

Who's responsible
FamEase is run by an independent developer based in Belgium, the controller of your data. For any question or request, write to bonjour@famease.com — a real person replies.
The data we process
- Account. When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your first name, your email address and, where applicable, your profile photo.
- Household members. The first names, avatars and colours of members, including children added by an adult.
- What you create. Tasks, routines, moods, notes and seeds, intentions, reactions — what the family puts into the app.
- Technical data. A device identifier for notifications, and the minimum needed to sign in and sync.
Why we process it
Only to run the app: create your household, sync content between members, and send the notifications you turn on. The legal basis is the performance of the service you ask for, and your consent for notifications. No data is processed for advertising.
Where your data is stored
On Google Firebase: Firestore for household content, Firebase Authentication for sign-in, Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications. Google acts as a processor. Depending on its infrastructure, your data may be processed outside the European Union; those transfers are covered by Google's standard contractual clauses.
Who it's shared with
- With the members of your household, for shared content. Some notes — the seeds — stay private until you choose to reveal them at the recap.
- With Google (Firebase), strictly as a technical hosting provider.
- With no one else. We don't sell or rent your data.
Our commitments
- No advertising.
- No selling or renting your data.
- No third-party tracking or profiling.
- No investors to answer to about your attention. Your data isn't the product.
How long we keep it
As long as your household is active. If you delete your account or your household, the associated data is erased. You can also ask us to delete it at any time.
Children
Children's accounts don't exist on their own: a child is added and managed by an adult, from the adult's account, and never signs in alone. A child's data is limited to what an adult enters (first name, avatar) and their participation in the household.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you can at any time ask to access your data, correct it, erase it, port it, or object to a processing. Write to bonjour@famease.com. If you feel your rights aren't respected, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
Security
Access to your data goes through an authenticated sign-in (Google or Apple) and Firebase's security rules. No system is infallible, but we limit the data we collect to what's strictly necessary.
The website
The famease.com website uses no cookies and no tracking tools. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.
